| Since 1980, David has served as one of two talented artists to paint the paintings, sculptures, costumes and headpieces for the world-famous Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach, California. The Pageant of the Masters is a stage show of "Tableau Vivant" (living pictures). Each summer, the show recreates famous works of art using living people as the depicted subjects. In it's 67 year history, the Pageant has grown into an experience like no other. It takes place in a 2600 seat outdoor amphitheatre and is accompanied by a live narrator and 26 piece orchestra. David has had the great challenge and honor to recreate hundreds of historic works of art. Below is a small selection of some of these works. Keep in mind that the images below are photographs of the final work of art as it was presented in the show. That is to say that each of the pieces pictured have live people in them.
